What We Believe
We believe that God is the Creator of the universe and all that is in it. God created man in His image, meaning man is a spiritual being. God, being the creator, is worthy of our worship. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, all-present, eternal, and just, yet merciful and loving. He is one God, yet three persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe that the Bible is God's Word, given to us through men inspired by the Holy Spirit. It is therefore our only authority in matters of faith and doctrine (teachings).
We believe that all have sinned against God (Romans 3:23) and that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). We cannot be good enough to enter heaven on our own (Titus 3:5).
We believe that Jesus is God's only Son. He is God in the flesh (John 1). Jesus paid the price for our sin through His sacrificial death on the cross. Jesus then rose from the grave on the third day triumphing over death and giving us the hope of eternal life. This is the gift of God (Romans 6:23). This gift is available to all who are willing to accept it through faith.
We believe that through faith we accept God's gift by turning away from our sins (Luke 13:5), acknowledging Christ as Savior before men in both words and actions (Matthew 10:32), by being baptized by immersion into Christ (Act 2:38, Romans 6), and by being obedient to God (Romans 1:5)
